Slow

Hopewriter Challenge Day 1 - Slow ( ….a whole week late..)

In my haste
To heal and
To grow,
I have been
Grumpy
Because
Things seem to be
Going so slow.

But God,
You are not slow.
You are just
patient.

You never rush
Or are in a hurry,
You don’t get upset
And you never worry.

You take your time and
Don’t mind the wait.
You are always at work
And You are never late.

So when it feels that
My progress is slow,
I will look to the one
Who says that’s not so.

Instead, You say
I am doing
Just fine
My pace is my pace
And I am
Right on time.

You remind me
I’m becoming and
Becoming feels slow,
But things need darkness,
And quiet,
And slow,
To grow.

So I’ll settle down
Here and
Just rest
Knowing that
You, God
Are the One
Who loves me the best.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand *slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
