Stretch

Stretch

grow

there is more space inside of you.

more room,

for breath

to dig deeper and

Expand

those folded crumpled wings.

Let them see the sun

absorb it’s warmth

and dry

so they can hold the wind

and fly.

Unfolding aches sometimes

as life trickles into

unfamiliar spaces

uncomfortable places

reaching past what’s known

in faith to better things.

Arms flung wide

face to the sky

receive,

all the orange and crimson and gold

all that’s earth and open air

all the roots and tender shoots

and all the life that’s there

Take in

let out

stretch and grow,

There is more space, inside of you.

You are so much more than you know.

1Peter 2:2
