Purple
I chose purple, lavender actually
Something in me was drawn to pick this ball
to represent me on the putt putt green.
What is it in me that did the choosing ?
Maybe it’s the same thing that choose purple paint for my bedroom when I was five; Or the same part of me that chooses mint chip ice cream or pizza with mozzarella and fresh basil; the part that loves quiet and the smell of fall in the air.
All that is me under there,
Under all the roles and parts I play
There is a soul that He made
One whom he delights in
And calls his very own.
One in whom he has chosen
To make His home
And while I can’t seem to putt my ball into the hole,
I will remember that He is the one who made and cherishes my soul.
Psalm 139:13-14
“For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
