But your Word

Adopted me,
Welcoming me
Into your family.

You chose to
Love and
Feed and
Clothe me.

To serve
And teach
And wash
My feet.

To care
And provide
And tend
My needs.

You promise
To be
My provider
Protector,
Defender,
Mediator,
And Advocate.

You wrote
My name in
Your book
And me saved
A seat
At your table.

You put your ring
On my finger
And honored me.

You threw a party
Because
I came home.
And Now
I will never
Be alone.

You raised
Your banner
For all to see.

For you, O God
Are committed
To me.
