Psalm 18:31-36

Psalm 18:31-36

Who is God but you, Lord?

People sometimes act like they are gods but even with all their power, fame and smarts, they cannot do the things you do.

They cannot call out the morning sun or put it away at the end of the day. They can not paint the sky pink or call the stars out to play. Who but you can or coax a butterfly to life or make a hundred bugs light up the night.

And who is rock solid like you?
Everyone I know changes somehow, someway. We all wrinkle and grey and change our minds throughout the day.

But you are immovable, unchangable, unable to be shaken.

And then to think that You,
the one who speaks to planets and has been the same before time began , You promise to equip me?!

You, God of all resources, gets me ready for battle and gives me what I need.

You make my way blameless and teach my feet to dance on high places.

You train my hands giving me supernatural strength I could not have on my own.-

And on top of all that equipping and making me able, you promise to be a shield around me.

You double protect me with gifts of grace and mercies deep. My saving doesn’t depend on me- it’s all Your doing. 100 percent You!

Your right hand is my support and Your gentleness makes me great.

You place me in a wide wonderful space where my feet won’t slip. You give me victory and make my way secure forever.

What kindnesses you have lavished upon me. Grace upon grace, heaped up and overflowing.
