Always Remember

I wish that I had something Christmasy and beautiful to share, however my life feels a bit over the top right now.  I did have a chance to write a letter for a dear friend’s daughter  for her 16th birthday. Her mom asked me to write a letter for a scrapbook she is putting together. I was thinking it might be encouraging to share some of it here too. In the midst of all thats going on its good and right to remind ourselves of what is true and what God says about us!  Praying this will meet you right where you need to be met and that Jesus will refresh you and encourage you in all that you are up to  today! I am so thankful for you!

Always Remember

By Susie Teramura

Always Remember,

You are His beloved,

And called

His own.

He as deep affection

For you and

He will never,

Ever, leave you

For another,

Another person,

Another event,

He will not

Leave you

For anything.

You are His

Priority and He

Has covenanted and

Promised Himself

To you.

He has His eyes

Fixed on you

And you

Are His desire.

You give Him

Great Joy

(A smiley eyed kind of joy)

He loves your

Voice and knows

Everything about you.

He has made a promise,

A beautiful one,

To rescue and

Heal and

Love and

Be with you

Your good ,

Kind and

Gentle Father,

Is writing part of

His story

With your life.

You are valuable,

Important ,

Seen, known ,

You are carried ,

Covered, and

Tended to.

And every tear

You have

Ever cried,

He has collected

In a bottle.

The things that

Make you sad

Matter to Him,

Matter so much,

That he collects

Those tears,

And promises to

Make them

Into something

Of astounding

And unspeakable

So hold on

To Him with

All that

You have,

And when you

Are tired,

And feel like

You can’t go on

Its ok and

You’re ok.

Actually you are

More than ok.

He’s got you

In His grip and

He’s holding

You tight.

  1. Hi Susie,
Oh I was so encouraged to see your posts come into my in-box and know that you had words and beauty to share with us! Even if you think this post wasn’t Christmas-related, I think it is since anytime you share about God holding us in his hands and caring for us and covering us with his love, is what Christmas is all about!

(And besides, I wouldn’t mind if you recycled art from past holidays since it’s always so pretty to look at!) I can’t tell you what a gorgeous treasure you are and how happy I am to have connected with you via our blogging journeys. I wouldn’t have had the delightful pleasure of getting to know your heart otherwise! Praying for you and looking forward to sharing 2017 with you! xoxox Much love!

    1. Hi Valerie- Thanks for the beautiful encouragement- It has meant more than I can say today! Yes you are right- Jesus is Christmas and anything about him is really in a way about Christmas! He is the best gift and nothing can rival Him- and no words can really wrap themselves around Him to do him justice!! I am so glad he came as he did – to us in the manger – he is not uncomfortable with our depravity- He settles himself right in and meets us there. – Thank you for being ok with my recycled art too!! I find Christmas is hard for me in the sense that I have so many things I want to make and do and give away! I need to start earlier I guess- but it seems my life just gets away from me- and then I can’t get much done-hahah- Anyway- so grateful for you too and look forward to journeying together in the new year too! xoxox

  2. I second everything Valerie said! You truly are a treasure, Susie! My heart leaped with joy when I saw your posts come again in my in-box. 🙂 I, too, think this surely is Christmas related. Jesus came to this earth because He made us “His priority.” Because He loves and cherishes us so much. My heart is so moved as I read this poem. It’s so amazing that He has us in His grip. Always! Thank you for encouraging my weary heart today!

I hope things will quiet down for you soon, my friend. I pray God will give your body and spirit rest, peace, and strength! Have a Blessed Christmas! Love and hugs!

    1. Hi Trudi! Thank you so much for your encouragement today! It was like a hug from a good friend to my heart today- and i really needed it ! I am so grateful that these words encouraged you today-I am sorry your heart is weary though- I think sometimes big soft hearts get weary more easily as they seem to carry the hurts close – I know God has given you such a beautiful, tender and caring heart that is so so beautiful! and how God is using that is so amazing and wonderful! Praying he will refresh and give you rest in all ways tonight! Thank you for praying for me- I am so thankful- Praying for you too! with much love xoxox Hope you have a very special Christmas!

  3. Beautiful, dear one. I think we all need to be reminded we are held and loved.
I would like to share this with two young women. November was pivotal as one turned 21 and her sister, 16 and their Mama died between. Suddenly.

  4. Hi Elaine I am so so sorry for these girls. I will be praying for them How very very difficult. I hope these words might bring some comfort – and make a way for the Jesus to settle into those deeper places where words just won’t come. Much love to you tonight.
