Odds and Ends

This is a work in progress for my Big Bold Blooms class. This is the charcoal drawing that will be filled in. My daughter liked this as is, so I thought I should share it just in case the finished product doesn’t turn out so well. I have this one to finish plus the huge one!-

For the letter G lesson in Carla Sonheim’s Y is for Yellow class, we had to draw a gaggle of girls. These are just practice drawings in my sketchbook- Lots of experimenting going on as you can see- πŸ˜‰ Β and lots of mistakes etc! In addition to this, I have been working hard on my first “series” assignment which is due on Sunday. I am looking forward to sharing it with you next week! (I hope!)

  1. I love the colors in the big one and the shapes taking place – its going to be so good – also love the gaggle of girls. I think it would have been fun to name them. I would like to meet these gals.

    1. Thanks Valerie! She came home from college and thought I was done with it! and loved it – so i thought it would be good to take a picture incase the finished product isn’t so great!! Always such a risk with these paintings!! Not sure how I will get up the courage to do the extra huge one! We will see! πŸ™‚

  2. I love the flowers as they are, too, Susie. Their colors are so cheerful. I love your gaggle of girls, too. And the three stacked birds on your other post. I was glad to see it posted again as it is one of my favorites. πŸ™‚ Thank you for the smiles today! Hugs!

  3. Love the work you are doing, Susie. I wonder if you had a name in mind as you drew each of the gaggle or if the name came after the sketch was complete.

  4. Thanks Elaine! I really appreciate the encouragement as sometimes the learning feels slow!! πŸ˜‰ I name them afterwards since I never know how they will turn out! πŸ˜‰ sending hugs!
