Y is for Yellow- A is for Animals

Our first assignment has been hard and quiet humbling  ;). We were to choose 5 animals and do a series of 4 drawings with them. One of which was to draw them with your opposite hand. Another was to draw them with our eyes closed and lastly we were to do what Carla calls a “smudgie.” A “smudgie” is where we take a chalk pastel and smudge in the body shape, then go back with pencil and redefine the legs etc. Then we were to repeat this excersize 4 times making 80 drawings in all. I am still working on them but decided to share some even though they aren’t exactly finished pieces or anything I am super proud of. (These are my left handed drawings and smudgies )I am learning that the process is as important as the end result. It’s in the process or the journey that I find Jesus right beside me, and there is no place I’d rather be.
