Aloha! 🙂 I just returned from an amazing trip to Hawaii with my mom and sister and our daughters. What a special time we had celebrating Mom’s 70th birthday! I have always wanted to go to Hawaii drink from a pineapple with a pink umbrella-and we did! 🙂 It was very yummy and fun to sip these watching the crazy waves with my girls on the North Shore!
I just wanted write a quick note to thank you all so much for all the encouragement and support your have given me this year. I am so thankful for each one of you. You have blessed me greatly! I also wanted to update you all on some of the new things happening for me this year.
I am once again taking another yearlong class taught by Carla Sonheim; this year it is called “Y is for Yellow.” In this class we are going to focus on creating a unique and individual body of work.
I am excited about this and feel this fits my needs well in that I have trouble focusing and deciding what I like doing best. We will be working through the alphabet filling a sketchbook to help us come up with ideas.
In addition to this, at the end of February, I will be taking another 5-week course by Lynn Whipple, called “Big Beautiful Blooms.” In this class we will be working big and painting colorful bouquets of flowers. This will be challenging and new for me to do larger pieces like this.
I am hoping to post my art assignments weekly along with a poem or thoughts as the Lord leads. This year in addition to linking with Holley Gerth and Susan B. Mead, I will also be joining Bonnie Gray’s One Word Coffee on Wednesday. I am thankful for these beautiful women of God. Their words truly are like coffee for the heart!
I am so grateful for all my dear blogging friends. You have been such an amazing encouragement to my heart. I am praying that you will be overwhelmed with his blessings this year and know how deeply loved and cared for you are.
Thank you for walking along beside me as we journey toward more joy and more of Him!
