Heavenly Blessing

By Susie Teramura

Heavenly Daddy

Bless me,

Favor me,

Do good to me,

and give to me,

in overflowing,

undeserved, amounts,

You keep me,

Hold me,

Next to

Your heart

And draw

Me in, close,

Warm and safe.

You tend to

My every need,

And hear the

Unspoken soul words,

Hidden inside of me.

You make

Your face;

Your beautiful face,

The one

That glows

Like all the stars

In the universe,

(And then some,)

You shine it

on me,

Warming me,

Filling me

With heavenly light

So that I

Will shine too,

And light up

Dark places,

Like you do.

You are gracious

To me,

Kind and gentle,

Towards me

Having all

The time

In the world

For listening,

And hearing,

And seeing,

All of me,

And after

The seeing,

Comes the loving

In the midst,

The loving

Of it all,

The loving

Of all of me.

And then if

That’s not enough

You give

Me peace

And take

My troubles away,

You are

Right here

Next to me,

And you are

Not going

I am blessed

Kept, and held

Protected, safe,

Listened to

And loved,

All is well

With me,

My Daddy

Is heavenly.

Numbers 6:22-27

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:  “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

“The Lord bless you and keep you;

The Lord make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.”’

“So they shall put My name on the children of Israel, and I will bless them.”

  1. Susie,
These words ring especially true with me that even though we walk through difficulties, all can be well with our souls, as the psalmist reminds us. I recently felt him whispering, “Have I withheld any good thing from you?” He is so gracious and has blessed with his presence that yes, we can say, all is well with us, no matter what our circumstances are saying to us. Missed you last week and I’ve been waiting for fresh words from you to ponder! xoxo

    1. Hi Valerie!! 🙂 glad to connect with you today- always makes my day happy :)–It is good to be near Him isn’t it- changes our perspective on things! Thank you for sharing what God is speaking to you too- So encouraging to hear that- a good thought to think on for me. Thanks so much for being faithful to visit me! It blesses me! xoxo

  2. ‘Unspoken soul words’ – yes, our Father hears even those – those that love Him in ways we can’t express and long for His presence. He is always hearing us and knowing what we want to say before we do 🙂

  3. Thank you, Susie. I missed your post last week. I always look forward to them. As always, I was encouraged today. My heart warmed especially to think of God being right next to us always and He’s not going anywhere. Ever. I need to trust that He’s always with us even when we can’t “feel” it.

    1. Trudi :)- Thanks for missing me- I missed posting- Christmas coming has made things so busy I was sad not to be able to write.I find that part of why I blog is to talk to myself and speak words to my soul that it has trouble hearing you know-?! My heart needs to believe the truth when I can’t feel it -It helps somehow to write these things out for me. Thanks so much Trudi for visiting me and being such an encouragement to me! xoxo
