Coffee for Your Heart- Never Ending Blessings

Never Ending Blessings

By Susie Teramura

Skies clear blue,

Like endless water,

Trees touched with color,

Tips beginning to turn,

Breeze sways branches

And down they fall,

Yellow teardrop

Leaves sprinkling

The earth

Like a gentle rain.

And little one

Looks up,

Arms open wide,

Twirls and tries

To catch them all,

And I watch on,

Feeling blessed

To be here,

On this day,

At this time,

Watching this precious

One of Yours,

Soak it all in

Enjoying beauty

With all of herself

Uninhibited,

And unafraid,

Receiving blessings

From You,

Without even

Knowing it,

And I am thinking

About those leaves,

That idea of pretty things

Floating down,

On top of us,

Making the day

Magical,

And I hear You

Speaking to my heart

About blessings,

And about

Receiving them

With open arms,

And face lifted

Up to You,

The Giver.

See I think

There is

Fear hidden

In the corner of

My heart

That thinks that

If I fully recieve

The blessings

You give me,

Then, that’s it,

The beauty

Will be over,

And I will have

Nothing

To look

Forward to,

So I

Partially thank,

Partially receive,

And I miss it,

This blessing thing.

And You are

challenging me,

And teaching me,

To trust

That there is

Always more

With You .

The blessings

Will never end,

They will keep

Pouring out,

The storeroom is

Never empty,

And Your heart

Never quits,

Blessing me.

It is Your joy,

What You love to do,

And what You love best,

Moments

like these,

Watching me,

Fully receive

Arms stretched wide,

Face lifted high,

Living full,

Knowing the Giver

Will never stop giving,

The Lover

Will never stop loving,

And that I belong

To You

My Maker

Of Heaven and Earth,

And I look up

The leaves

Keep falling

On me

Piling up

In my heart

Golden blessings,

Never ending,

This Love belongs

To me.

 Psalm 21:6

Surely you have granted him unending blessings and made him glad with the joy of your presence.

 Deuteronomy 28:12

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands

 1 Corinthians 16:23 (msg)

Our Master Jesus has his arms wide open for you.

 Psalm 81:10 (b)

Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.

 Deuteronomy 32:2

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

 Psalm 31:19

How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.

    1. Yay! How wonderful- It is such a wonderful thing to be reminded through our children of all the blessings God is pouring out on us every day! Its good to be forced to slow and really see them! (hard for me though – get so wrapped up in my busy life and what I think is important!!) Enjoy fall and your beautiful grandson!!! blessings!! 🙂

  1. Susie,
Once again I’m with you! I think sometimes “what if God has nothing else for me?” and panic sets in that my days are stretching ahead of me monotonous without blessing or pleasure, and then I remember that discouragement and fear are not places God would want me to sink into so why would I think there’s nothing more ahead? (I think mid-life would explain these wandering thoughts! :)) His love and blessings are never ending — love those lines in your post today and I really love the watercolor – -are you framing that one?! (I bet your whole house is filled with your art!) xo Much love to you!

  2. Valerie I’m so glad I am not alone- !! I agree with mid-life and wandering thoughts! I am finding it to bring me lots of unexpected gifts 😉 hahaha I am glad you like my watercolor too! That makes me happy- and no it is not framed just clothes pinned to a string with a lot of other experiments over my art desk- 🙂 Sending love and hugs tonight!
