Our assignment for The Year of the Spark class with Carla Sonhiem, was to paint like a child. She asked us to either paint a photograph of ourselves as a child or to paint something we painted when we were younger. The goal was to paint big and capture a bit of the freedom we had as children in our artwork. I decided to paint something I liked when I was little. I have always loved the zoo especially the giraffes and elephants. I remember making something for my sister’s wall that had giraffes on it that I was very proud of. Anyway, that being said this was my attempt at this assignment! I am not very experienced at acrylic painting so this was great practice and a lot of fun too!
