Coffee for your Heart- Tears

Coffee for your Heart-Tears

By Susie

Sliding down

Making puddles

Beside my

Salty drops find their way

From my heart to

The ground

Making mud

Making messes

You say

I am

My broken pieces

Surrendered and poured out

In a million places.

Then you do

Your thing,

Your miracle thing,

You take,

My empty,

My ashes,

And bring beauty

And in your hands,

 my dead

turns into life

And I find

Crazy Joy

Growing right up inside

My heart

Big and colorful until

It’s spilling out of me

Tears of joy.

Psalm 126: 5

Those who sow tears shall reap joy.

Isaiah 61:3

To all who mourn in Israel he will give: beauty for ashes;joy instead of mourning; praise instead of heaviness.

  1. Susie, once again you are so on time with your words for my heart.
I hope you are thinking of publishing in print some day.
    Blessings, Elaine

  2. My heart has been heavy and tears have been common lately. Thank you for your sweet, encouraging words. I dropped by from Holley’s link up. So glad you were there, too!

  3. Wow! So beautiful and meaningful, Susie. I love how God can take our empty, our ashes, and all our broken pieces and turn them into beauty. God knows I need to hear this again and again, and I really needed the reminder today. Thank you for the light of hope.
